Participants will use  R to access data, summarize it numerically and graphically, and combine these skills to perform randomization methods in statistics. Randomization methods (e.g., permutation tests and bootstrap intervals) are becoming increasingly popular as access to sufficient computational power is becoming more widespread. Participants will also be introduced to the discussion in the statistics education community about whether, why, and how to use randomization methods as the foundational concept in introductory computation courses.=0A=0AAssumed background: basic computer literacy; basic statistics.
